Welcome to the Rotary Club of the Isle of Thanet Sunrise web site.

Rotary International is a world wide organisation of men and women dedicated to helping others locally, nationally and internationally.
Rotarians have high ethical standards in businesss and their personal life and work for peace worldwide.

Rotary was formed over 100 years ago by an American lawyer called Paul Harris and now there are a million and a quarter Rotarians in most countries of the world.

OUR CLUB
We are 32 men and women and meet every Friday morning for breakfast; to listen to speakers or plan our work for the community.

We meet in Smith’s Hotel, Cliftonville ( see map and directions ) and our diary of our programme and events.

The club collects for our good causes at Christmas

Thanet, on the Kent east coast boasts some of the best beaches in the UK. With an airport and a seaport it has superb facilities. When the high speed rail line commences london will be just an hour away.
Close to Dover and the Channel Tunnel it is the gateway to Europe.
