We have contact clubs in Europe - Gent (Belgium), Lille Sud (France), Worms (Germany) and Zutphen (Holland)We have a varied social programme of events not only locally but nationally and internationally. Membership of a world wide club of business and professional men and women who welcome you as a visitor anytime. INTERNATIONALLY: Recently we have supported the Mercy Ships new vessel Africa Mercy to help fund the new Ophthalmic Theatre. We have also supplied Shelter boxes and Aquaboxes LOCALLY we visit local houses with Santa and give out dinners to lonely people on Christmas Day. We also run the SWIMATHON as our main fundraising event. Donations have been made to Cancer Research UK, Oasis the Women’s refuge, the Polio Eradication programme and to our Youth Opportunities Fund - see below YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES The first Grants were made in February 2002 awards to young people (aged 12 to 24) to assist them in a variety of projects which will enhance their sporting,artistic and general educational opportunities. 200 young people have benefited including Rotary Youth Leadership Awards; drama lessons; music equipment; Expedition to Kenya; Hairdressing equipment; Holidays for asthmatics; St Andrews Junior Church Youth & Sure start.
