We got together with our friends in Dordrecht, for the twelfth year running, on Jubilee weekend 2002. This year, it was their turn to visit us. As with all long-lasting friendships, we are able to relax in each others' company as these pictures show.

Our friends arrived on Friday afternoon and, after a brief visit and shopping trip in Tenterden, met their host families. Friday evening was a series of dinner parties and a chance to renew old acquaintances.

On Saturday we took a coach trip to London, the high point of which (in both senses) was a flight on the London Eye. The weather and viewing conditions could not have been better, no clouds and no heat haze, and an amazing view. A brief stroll across the river took us to lunch on a boat trip from Westminster to Greenwich and back, following which we all had time to explore or crash out, before taking the coach back to Maidstone in time for....

a barbecue at president Terry's home.

Entertainment was provided by Gentleman Jim and friends, who also organised some silly games for us.

A spectacular fireworks finalé
Sunday morning brought a traditional English pub-crawl and a game of boules (presumably chosen because it is not the national game of either club)

followed by lunch and farewells.
