Pahar Trust was created to provide schools for the children of the Nepalese mountain region. It operates through a self-help programme of ex-Gurkha servicemen, and aims to provide schools for over 10,000 children. The past ten years have been devoted to the building of schools in the west of Nepal, and over 5000 children have benefitted. They have now embarked on a programme of building schools in the east of the country.

Maidstone Riverside have raised funds for a major extension project, adding a first floor to a school in Simpani. Our Interactors (Maidstone GS) raised funds to provide furniture for the new classrooms.

The pictures on this page show work in progress: the walls are up and the new roof is being fitted.
